Reason / Defects: The lid can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use. Hazards: Risk of burns if the lid detaches while the cup contains hot liquid. Several incidents have occurred worldwide including a number of injuries requiring medical attention. What to do: Stop using the affected mugs immediately. Stanley 1913 Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs with polypropylene lids: double-walled mugs sold in a variety of colours including white, black and green and 12 oz., 16 oz. and 20 oz. sizes the Stanley logo appears on the front and bottom of the mug the recalled mugs have product identification numbers printed on the bottom of the mug (see attached list).
