Reason / Defects: The voltage regulator on some engines may fail, posing a fire hazard, even if the engine is off or not in use. Hazards: Risk of fire, serious injury or death and/or damage to property if the voltage regulator catches fire. What to do: Stop using the affected mower until it has been repaired. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If you are unsure on how to disconnect the battery, see the Operator’s Manual or contact your local authorised John Deere dealer. John Deere ZTrak™ zero turn mowers. Model numbers: Z720E Z730M Z740R Z760R Model numbers are printed on the front footrest platform, “John Deere” facing forward under operator seat, and "ZTRAK" printed on the rear sides of the mower. The recalled mowers were sold in green and yellow.
