Reason / Defects: The controller may malfunction and cause the engine to go into ‘limp mode’ and it will not allow for any gears to be changed, and engine power will be limited. Hazards: There is a risk of serious injury or death from collision if the boat unable to be controlled or has limited engine power. What to do: Stop using boats with the affected controls and contact an authorised Mercury Marine dealer immediately. An authorised Mercury Marine dealer will rectify the affected controls.
