Reason / Defects: The stem and handlebar may crack, leading to breaking or detachment. This may occur after impacts such as striking a pothole or kerb. Hazards: There is a risk of injury from a fall if the stem and handlebar break or detach while the bike is being ridden. This defect has occurred. What to do: Stop using the bicycle immediately. Check Canyon’s website to arrange for a free inspection and, if necessary, repair by a professional bike mechanic.
