Reason / Defects: The product is being recalled because the gel packs may contain ethylene glycol, a toxic substance. Hazards: If packaging becomes damaged, ethylene glycol can leak out. If swallowed, ethylene glycol can cause irreversible injuries or death. What to do: Stop using the Gel Pak immediately and keep out of reach of children. Return the product to a Kmart store for a full refund. If you suspect someone has swallowed the contents of a gel pack, call the Poisons Information Centre for information and advice on 13 11 26.
