Reason / Defects: The chin strap on affected helmets may not be routed correctly causing the retention buckle to separate and the helmet to come off. Hazards: Risk of serious injury or death from head injuries if the helmet comes off during a collision. What to do: 1. Stop using affected helmets immediately. 2. Inspect the chin strap to check if it is routed correctly. 3. Route your chin strap correctly following the updated owner’s manual addendum, which is accessible here and watch the instructional video . 4. If the chin strap is frayed, contact Polaris Australia to arrange a repair. 5. If you require assistance with how to correctly route your chin strap, contact Polaris Australia.
